2019 年2月2日～7 日，2019年西部光子学会议（Photonics West 2019）在美国旧金山Moscone Center举行。西部光子学会议是光子学与激光工业领域的国际顶级盛会，由国际光学工程学会SPIE主办，每年参会人数超过2万人。
在今年的西部光子学会议BIOS主题领域，生物医学光子学功能实验室付玲教授应邀担任Neural Imaging and Sensing（神经成像和传感）专题会议主席之一，并主持了其中Functional Imaging分会场报告。
实验室施华老师在Neural Imaging and Sensing专题会议上做了题为“Emerging trends in neural imaging and sensing”的口头报告，博士生焦振飞和张小宇分别做了题为“Simultaneous optical imaging and manipulation of the whole-brain neuronal activities in behaving zebrafish larvae”和“An optical-sectioning computational method”的口头报告。在俄罗斯萨拉托夫大学Valery V. Tuchin教授担任主席的Dynamics and Fluctuations in Biomedical Photonics专题会议上，实验室博士生周舟和冯伟分别以“Resolution and contrast enhancement of second-harmonic generation microscopy based on subtractive imaging”和“Monitoring cerebral and cutaneous hemodynamics through in vivo skull and skin optical clearing techniques”为题做了口头报告。此外，博士生覃涵、李雨莎、宋贤林分别在Neural Imaging and Sensing和Photons Plus Ultrasound: Imaging and Sensing专题会议上做了张贴报告。
